The Grand Beijing Duck Lilo Race is back! The most hotly anticipated event of the year returns for its second ever edition! What better way to celebrate this fine city that we call home than combining iconic Beijing institutions – Peking Duck, delicious local Yanjing beer, and cooling off in the Liangma River on a hot summer’s night – all into a hashy amalgamation of mischief and fun?
The Grand Beijing Duck Lilo Race will have hashers race across the scenic Liangma River on inflatable yellow ducks, using every last tool at their disposal to be the first to cross the finish line winning eternal fame and glory. Who will be the most aeroducknamic hasher to lift this aquacktic trophy and secure their place in Beijing hashtory and lore?
Founded last year by your 2024 Full Moon Hash Misman team (Lost in Sex, Panda Penis Pandemonium, and John Wayne’s Gay Semen), The Grand Beijing Duck Lilo Race quickly became a fan favourite on the hash calendar.
Hashrumour has it, under the murky, still waters of the Liangma River, a monster lurks. Only coming out on the Full Moon to feed, it is said to prey on unsuspecting hashers that have fallen from their duck lilos. Use treachery, subterfuge, and raw power to leave fellow hashers in your wake to be gobbled up by the kelp monster.
Aaaaas we know (as we know!), the Full Moon in August is known as the Sturgeon Moon due to the abundance of sturgeons during this month. While the Liangma River does not have sturgeons, we will fill the river with Yanjing instead!
Additionally, our very own Full Moon Hash apothecary Bloody Butt Precise has concocted limited edition Canned COCKtails to give you the extra boost you need to speed across the Liangma River on your trusty duck steed.
We will be putting together a group order for the inflatable ducks in the hash group chats. Please join the group note if you would like to purchase an inflatable duck (88 RMB) to use in The Grand Beijing Duck Lilo Race.
Please reuse your duck lilo from last year’s race if you still have it to reduce waste.
