Come and celebrate the week AFTER the 4th of July weekend, which is used by everyone else to rest and avoid Beijing’s heat and pollution, and is therefore the one and only time that the Beijing hash will be in full control of the city’s vast streets, roads and paths as we pass by at lightening speed (or walking slowly with a beer in our hand).

Want to run far and sweat hard? Well, with the slowest hares on record setting this week’s run, that sort of exertion isnt likely to happen. Instead, get ready for multiple beer stops, and maybe some food and snacks along the way on a short run.

If you want to wear your RED, WHITE, and BLUE, go right ahead, but nobody else will be wearing those colors. Instead, this week is almost-post-world-cup week, so to celebrate bring any sports ball that bounces to carry with you (rugby ball, squash ball, tennis ball, you name it). And wear a baseball hat since its been hot as heck recently.
