Beijing Full Moon H3 #209 The Colour Run
The drums of war thunder once again. Choose your colour allegiance and make war on your fellow hashers! Invoke your inner Genghis Khan and douse them, pelt them, and shower them with your favourite colour. Red, orange, blue, yellow, green, pink, or purple – the choice is yours.
Still ticked off about the time when the walkers drank all the cold beer from the cooler before you had even arrived at the beer stop? When the Front Running Bastard refused to shout On On! and you had to solve the open check by yourself? When you were pressured into drinking beer from your brand-new pair of trainers thereby ruining them?
Instead of waiting for circle to make your accusations, why not just take out all your repressed anger and righteous fury straight away on fellow hashers by dousing them in pink & blue powder?
Aaaaas we know (as we know!), The Colour Run is known as The Happiest 5K on the Planet. The Full Moon Hash, however, does things a bit differently… Cum join us as we celebrate cheap beer, mischief, degeneracy, and debauchery – putting on The Hashiest 5K+ on the Planet!
The expertly laid trail by our shitty Full Moon hares will take you through the beating heart of the city, the iconic alleyways that are the foundations of the Northern Capital – the hutongs of Beijing.
The trail will take you along the scenic Liangma River, through the historic hutong neighbourhood of Gulou, and finishing under the moonlit gaze of the Drum and Bell Towers. Embrace your inner werewolf and traverse the hutongs on all fours while taking in centuries of history.
The Full Moon in May is known as the Flower Moon due to abundance of blooming flowers. What better way to honour the Flower Moon than to throw powder at each other in all colours of the rainbow. Colour powder will be available at beer stops and circle, and games will be played between teams to see who emerges victorious, winning eternal fame and glory.
Our very own Full Moon Hash apothecary Bloody Butt Precise has concocted two special potions inspired by the rugged northern plains of China – Whisky Peach and Gin tOn-Onic. Hashrumour has it, they are historically accurate recreations of the favoured drinks of the court of Genghis Khan… These limited edition COCKtails will be given to all hashers participating in The Colour Run.
If you’re lucky, you may even spot hutong locals donning the infamous Beijing Bikini signifying the arrival of summer, or the ever-elusive hutong weasel scurrying about (and no, that’s not a euphemism for your least favourite hasher).
Don’t forget that The Colour Run is part of The First Annual Northern Alliance Hash weekend from May 30th to June 1st. Registration for The Northern Alliance Hash will take place at Paddy’s on Friday May 30th so it’s the perfect place to pre-lube before The Colour Run.
