Well, you’ll find something like warmth, but be forewarned it is counterfeit warmth. Knock-off warmth as it were. Or “waaamth” as the illiterate youth say.
Believe it or not, the only place to find warmth is in the tight embrace of a Hasher in -7-degree wind chill. Nothing warms the skin like the moist discharge of fragrant flash freezing beer breath on your neck as you cling to life. Nothing warms the soul like strained vocal cords snapping out a falsetto croak of “down, down, down.” Do not be afraid, the warm tingling at the end of your fingers is real. You hold the beer, the beer holds you, and you are at warm peace.
So yes, dear reader you must come for hug. Come for embrace. Come for a warmth quenched in the hideous sleet of nature’s retribution. A warmth beyond the limitations of logic and reason. A human embrace of beer, spirit, and body. Hug me I’m cold.
