The Chinese New Year is just around the corner, so what traditions precede it? Street dance, of course!

In ancient Chinese legends, every Chinese New Year, the Nian Beast—a monstrous creature—would invade our villages from another parallel universe, devouring our festive food and drinking all our beer… You must be wondering: Why didn’t people band together to fight off the Nian? Well, that’s because everyone was too busy having sex and masturbating before the New Year to muster any strength!

But one day, a man claiming to be from this mysterious organization called “hash” arrived. Since he spent every day participating in hash runs and had no life of his own, he was perpetually drunk. When he saw the Nian Beast, he mistook it for a virgin joining the hash, and happily started breakdancing. The Nian Beast, disgusted by his ugly moves, vomited and lost all appetite for New Year’s food and beer, fleeing swiftly. From then on, people took to the streets about a week before the New Year to breakdance and chase away the Nian Beast—thus the custom was born!

Of course, if you believe this story, then you’re dumb, you’re dumb, you’re so fucking dumb—I just made it up to fit this hash’s theme! But regardless, let’s get this street dance started!
