Boy have we got a bad mother f^cker of an alleycat this time!
Made to mimic the routine a bike messenger might face in a typical delivery day, alleycats send riders around a city to a series of checkpoint stops.
Traffic, stoplights, potholes, pedestrians, and car exhaust are a part of the experience.
***All checkpoints will have some reference to the movie Pulp Fiction***
Encourage you to watch it in the background as you do some work this week.
So if you’re doing the alleycat race (basically a cycling scavenger hunt) I’d advise you to read the manifest when you get it before setting off. This means you take the optimal route and don’t have to backtrack or come to the finish having missed out on some fun checkpoints.
As much as I encourage people to try out their navigating skills and go for the alleycat race, there is a plethora of good company riding at a chill pace with the group ride. Nobody is left behind.
Like last time I can cross off a few “out of the way” checkpoints so you get most the alleycat fun without having an aching crotch the next day from the saddle… hopefully something else causes that.
The group ride and alleycat will finish at the same point where food and drink will be available. We’ll do a circle somewhere round there and there’s a secret rooftop we can go to after for cocktails and a chin wag.
