“Beijing, Beijing, what a wonderful place to hash

We have great fun, dodging the shit and trash

Our skies are never clear

But we have cheaper beer

We like to drink, our singing stinks

So welcome to the Beijing hash”

As the years go by, many things change. The lack of shit and trash has made the capital unrecognizable to old school hashers. These days chances are you’ll get blinded by the bright sun and blue skies if you manage to raise your gaze from the beer in front of you. Still, what’s important stays the same: Beijing is still home to the best kennel in the world (and of all time), and definitely the one that has the most fun. Also, Yanjing beer remains as cheap as it’s ubiquitous… and best enjoyed when you’re drunk beyond caring about such trifles as taste and formaldehyde.

This Sunday, join us in bidding a very warm FOYW to I’m Pregnant. The once-GM, reformed FRB, and a modern day marvel of human biology that proved male pregnancy possible. Please note, due to the FOYW’s advanced pregnancy (currently in the 16th trimester), only gentle pegging will be allowed.

Thanks to the hares’ connections in Mismanagement (and compromising pictures of the RA), we will have a nice, cool day to explore the university district of Beijing with cold beers in hand. The trail will bring you from the lush green Zizhuyuan Park, past the National Library of China, and into the heart of the Haidian university district. Young, educated, and innocent – the very antithesis of the hash spirit, but the hares hope the atmosphere rubs off on you enough to start reading the write-ups, or at least remembering your hash name correctly.
