On The Waterfront – Tianjin Hash Invite for Saturday, April 12

[Elephant] ass cousins of the small, irrelevant, inconsequential, port town (but very cool architecture), non-capital city of Tianjin (the source of 100% of Beijing’s air pollution)—misled by Powder Puff and her helper Elephant Ass—are inviting us over for their Hash this Saturday, April 12. So, if you don’t get enough Hashing on the Sunday Hash, there’s an opportunity on Saturday (and early Sunday morning) in Tianjin. LOP (pictured above, earlier years on the waterfront) is mismanaging the Beijing H(3) excursion.

Tianjing Hash guarantees:

• Solid 10-12 kms run in the historic waterfront district of Tianjin.
• Solid walk in the same area (Tianjin H(3) always will do a good, marked walk)
• Good company, ample drinks (ask Jizzy Shelter), food, and cheer (TJ H(3) is always good for this)

Trail: A to A from the Astor Hotel (where Elephant Ass started as a bellhop in 1863), a 15 mins. walk from the Tianjin Train Station; 5 mins. by taxi.
Where to meet: 1:30 p.m. at Astor Hotel. Start run/walk at 2:00 p.m.

Other misc. details:
If you want to go as a group, meet at the Starbucks in the lower level of the Beijing South Railway Station on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. SHARP (SHARP, SHARP). This is where we met for the Walking on Water Tianjian trip. We will take a 12:00 noon train (will purchase tickets together). You will buy your OWN train ticket and make sure to bring a passport or ID (ask Dreamin Semen if necessary. Answer: yes). Latecomers—you’re on your own. NOTE: overnight in Tianjin option for those who want (can sort-out in Tianjin).
