Can you believe it’s been four weeks already since our last Full Moon Hash? We certainly can’t (though frankly, we can’t remember much at all after last weekend thanks to those pesky Swedish Young Professionals!)
Speaking of Swedes, this month’s run will act as something of a celebratory double-ender – marking both the 242nd anniversary of Britain’s loss of its Thirteen Colonies and the FMH’s loss of our dear, silly Just Dumb – an honorary Swede if ever we saw one!
So come join us on a star-spangled sweep through the seedier parts of town, as we raise a mug to (what may well be) the last days of the Republic, and bid adieu to a hasher who only rarely, if ever, makes it to the Full Moon.
Because, to paraphrase the mangled Scots’ brogue of that most mediocre of American patriots, Mr Mel Gibson:
“Drink and you may die.
Run and you’ll live – at least a while.
And dying in your beds many years from now,
Would you be willing to trade all the days
From this day to that
For one chance, just one chance
To come back here and tell the bao’an
That they may take our Yanjing,
But they’ll never take our freed Dumb!”
Don’t forget after the run, we go ON PADDYS! to support the Colombians in a very exciting match of the world cup!
