The normal Sunday run on 15th February is moved to Saturday 14th February as Sunday is a normal working day due to the New Year holiday. This makes a special day due to a number of factors:
- Its Valentine’s Day
- It’s the start of Chinese New Year Holiday
- It’s Pickle Boy’s Birthday
- The run will be focused on the very impressive CCTV building also known in Chinese language as “Da Kuchar” or the Big Underpants due to its similarity with a big pair of long johns.
With all these factors in mind the run theme will be red underpants and all hashers are invited to wear an extra pair of red underpants (or panties) over the top of their trousers/jogging bottoms/shorts.
This will allow easy identification of all hashers as we run through Beijing’s busy business district. It will also be useful if there are any of those “little accidents” that we can all experience if the toilets are too far away from the beer stops…….

Nearby subway station: Jintaixizhao (Line 10). Exit D and follow the blue chalk marks.
From the exit go west through the car park area of Fortune plaza and continue to Jintong Donlu.
Turn south on Jintong Donlu for 100m. Cross the road to the South side at the next Junction with Guang Ha Lu. Carry on along Guang Ha Lu going West for 50m.
Take the next turn at the statue of the black bull and turn left down a side street and restaurant is 50m on the RHS.
